THE INDUSTRYS CLONING

INT. MUSIC SHOP – DAY

KangoBlood, a charismatic music producer, and JonnieWidecock, a skilled rapper, are discussing their latest project in KangoBlood’s music shop.

JONNIEWIDECOCK: I don’t know, man. It’s like the more we try to make a name for ourselves, the harder it gets.

KANGOBLOOD: That’s because we’re going up against the top industry. They don’t want us to succeed.

HoneyByte, KangoBlood’s business partner, walks in with a worried look on her face.

HONEYBYTE: Guys, we have a problem.

KANGOBLOOD: What’s going on?

HONEYBYTE: Dealerskip and Dealer K are here. They want to talk business.

KangoBlood and JonnieWidecock exchange a knowing look.

JONNIEWIDECOCK: Let’s hear them out.

INT. BACK ROOM – DAY

Dealerskip, a slick-talking drug dealer, and Dealer K, a femme fatale, sit across from KangoBlood, JonnieWidecock, and HoneyByte.

DEALERSKIP: Look, we know you guys got talent. But talent don’t mean nothing without the right connections.

DEALER K: That’s right. And we got connections.

KANGOBLOOD: We don’t need your connections.

DEALERSKIP: Oh, really? You think you can make it in this industry without a little help from the big guys?

JONNIEWIDECOCK: We’re not interested in playing by their rules.

DEALER K: You better watch your back. You don’t want to end up like those independent artists who got killed off for trying to play the game.

HONEYBYTE: What are you talking about?

DEALERSKIP: The music industry is cutthroat. The top guys will do whatever it takes to protect their profits.

KANGOBLOOD: Even if it means killing off the competition?

DEALERSKIP: All I’m saying is, you guys better watch your back.

INT. RECORD LABEL OFFICE – DAY

KangoBlood, JonnieWidecock, and HoneyByte are meeting with Sid, KangoBlood’s father and the owner of a successful record label.

KANGOBLOOD: Dad, we need your help.

SID: What’s going on?

JONNIEWIDECOCK: We’re up against the top industry, and they’re killing off independent artists for the profits.

SID: I’ve heard rumors, but I didn’t think it was that bad.

HONEYBYTE: It’s worse than you think. They have the government on their side.

SID: The government?

KANGOBLOOD: Yeah. They believe African Americans should only be selected for wealth through three degrees of separation.

SID: That’s ridiculous.

JONNIEWIDECOCK: We know. That’s why we’re going to prove them wrong.

INT. MUSIC AWARDS SHOW – NIGHT

KangoBlood, JonnieWidecock, and HoneyByte are attending the Music Awards Show, where the top industry is being honored.

JONNIEWIDECOCK: Look at them up there, acting like they’re the kings of the world.

KANGOBLOOD: They may have the power, but we have the hustle.

HONEYBYTE: All is fair in the hustle to the top.

As the night goes on, KangoBlood, JonnieWidecock, and HoneyByte make connections with. COMING SOON.
